CLEARWATER -- You're in store for a rootin' tootin' good time at this year's Clearwater Heritage Days festival.

The city celebration kicks off Friday with a kiddie parade from 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Friday's highlights include: square dancing from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., the main parade gets going at 7:00 p.m., followed by fireworks. Throughout the whole evening there will be family activities such as face painting, rock climbing, inflatables and more.

All of Friday's events will be in the Clearwater Shopping Center area near the public library.

Festivities continue into Saturday with the St. Cloud Tech 5K starting at 8:30 a.m. at Warner Lake County Park. If you have yet to sign up for the 5K, the cost is $20 on race day if a spot is still available. A kids fun run will also take place right after Saturday's 5K.

The Clearwater Fire Department will also be hosting an open house from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Heritage Days will wrap up with bingo at the American Legion from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
