Classic rock isn't without songs that are obviously On The Dark Side of life. Depending on the songwriter's view of the moon, things could be downright apocalyptic.

What are some classics that could very well describe a horror movie plot? Let me know what I missed!

Classic Rock Songs With Horror Movie Lyrics

Bad Moon Rising - Creedence Clearwater Revival

"I hear hurricanes a-blowin'
I know the end is comin' soon
I fear rivers over flowin'
I hear the voice of rage and ruin"

HOLY SH#T, JOHN! For a song with a very happy, upbeat melody; 'Bad Moon Rising' has lyrics that are literally apocalyptic. That's called dichotomy, folks. The song was allegedly written after John Fogerty watched a 1941 movie called "The Devil and Daniel Webster".

On The Dark Side - John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band

"The dark side's coming now, nothing is real
She'll never know just how I feel
From out of the shadows, she walks like a dream
Make me feel crazy, make me feel so mean"

HOLY SH#T, JOHN (different John)! One take on the meaning of this track points at Frank "Word Man" Ridgeway (played by actor Tom Berenger) from the movie Eddie and the Cruisers. Frank has a crush on Eddie's girlfriend but can't let her or anyone know and it makes him angry, I guess?

In the Dark - Billy Squier

"You never listen to the voices inside
They fill your ears as you run to a place to hide
You're never sure if the illusion is real
You pinch yourself but the memories are all you feel"

Psychological thriller, anyone? Throw in "Everybody Wants You" for a bit of paranoia. Are YOU lonely in the dark?

One Way Or Another - Blondie

"One way or another, I'm gonna find ya
I'm gonna get ya, get ya, get ya, get ya"

You could really fire up this song every time Jason Voorhees pulls an RKO and appears out of nowhere. He really is gonna find ya and GITCHA, one way or another.

Run To You - Bryan Adams

"She says her love for me could never die
But that'd change if she ever found out about you and I"

This is some straight Fatal Attraction vibes, here; but - as the man who Canada has apologized for on several occasions repeats several times - his mind's made up.

White Room - Cream

"In a white room with black curtains in the station
Black roof country, no gold pavements, tired starlings
Silver horses ran down moonbeams in your dark eyes
Dawn light smiles on you leaving, my contentment

I'll wait in this place where the sun never shines
Wait in this place where the shadows run from themselves"

Hooooo boy. Alice in Wonderland-meets-anything directed by Rob Zombie? The lyrics - written by Pete Brown - tell the tale about moving into a new apartment with bare furnishings to get sober. Withdrawals are a drag, man.
