Check Out NOAA’s Late February & 3-Month Outlook for Minnesota
According to NOAA's 2021 Spring Outlook for the United States, Minnesotans could expect a normal to slightly warmer than normal Spring -- which would mean that we could see some melting in march, but it will take April to make all of the snow go away.
Over the last few days, most of us have reached the end of our Minnesota weather ropes -- with low temps approaching thirty below, and wind chills dropping to near fifty below.
NOAA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the parent agency of the National Weather Service says that most of Minnesota can expect a warming trend beginning later this week.
It's amazing how spring-like 10 above can feel after a week of below zero temps. Highs this Saturday look like they'll hit the mid-twenties, with thirty a possibility on Sunday.
For the next three months as a whole, it looks like we could expect slightly above to near normal temperatures (which in the Land of 10,000 Lakes is the best news possible).
Three Month Outlook for February, March, & April
Based on the current outlook we are looking at either a near or slightly above normal chance for a warm start to spring.
Winter gets pretty long in Minnesota, especially if we don't find ways to get out and embrace it. Skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, snow shoeing, skating, and just gold old walking are all great ways to get out and take it all in.
