Catholic Charities announced they'll be holding their 39th annual Mardi Gras event virtually on Saturday, January 23.

Mardi Gras is typically an in-person event at the River's Edge Convention Center to help support programs like Catholic Charities Emergency Services and Domus Transitional Housing. However, due to COVID-19, the event will be entirely online.

Emergency Services is a community resource for those in need to get food, clothing and financial assistance. Domus Transitional Housing provides a temporary home for mom's and their kids up to 12 years old.

This year's musical entertainment features the Vista Jazz Club, Fabulous Armadillos, Wheelhouse Trio and Pandora recording artist Steven C. Anderson.

According to the official news release, you can buy Mardi Gras in a box which comes with a charcuterie board, wine, breads, masks and other treats. There are two options; $35 for a box that serves up to 6 people or $25 for a box that serves up to 4 people. You must pre-order your box by Friday, January 15 online.

There's a silent auction that kicks off on Wednesday, January 20at noon  and goes through Saturday, January 23 at 9 p.m.

So, kick back, enjoy your Mardi Gras in a box while you tune in to some great online music. Because the celebration is virtual this year, the event will be free to the public. You'll need to register online at CCStcloud.org.
