Catholic Charities of St. Cloud is experiencing a shortage of donors for their Share The Spirit Program. The annual program connects people who want to spread a little Christmas cheer to needy families over the holidays. Families are nominated and refereed to the program by social workers and case workers based on their level of need.

If you adopt a family, you'll be given their basic demographics (first name, age, sizes, etc.) and each family member's Christmas wish list. Your job will be to buy each family member gifts from their list, wrap them up and drop them off at 3000 Division Street on December 15.

Catholic Charities asks that you spend at least $60 on gifts and $10 on a grocery gift certificate for each family member. You should expect to spend an average of $260 if you're interested in participating in the program. Families of varying sizes are available and in need of adoption.

The deadline to adopt a needy family is Monday, Oct. 31. You can find out more information and sign up to become a donor on Catholic Charities' website.
