Alright - so I saw that Target Field has all sorts of new foods, as they usually do for each season.  Lots of things that are quite interesting, and maybe something new that you can try.  They also added a whole section of foods that are strictly for people who have a gluten allergy or sensitivity.  That is great.  Because a lot of places don't have that, so this is an awesome addition.

I WAS WRONG IN MY PREVIOUS THINKING - SOME AREAS ALLOW THIS

However, I did think, as was the case for a lot time, that you couldn't bring in any outside foods into Target Field.  Oops!  That was not correct.  You can bring in some outside foods.  But there are some sort of restrictions for that - like of course there is.

From the Target Field website:

Outside food is allowed into Target Field. Hard-sided containers (Tupperware, hard-sided coolers, Thermos’) are not allowed into Target Field. No outside food may be brought into any bar, restaurant, or suite areas at Target Field.

THERE ARE SOME OTHER STIPULATIONS FOR BRINGING IN FOOD AND DRINK

So, in the regular areas you can bring in some outside food.  But you do have to abide by the bag policy in order to bring that food in.  Unless you just carry it in out in plain sight and not in a container.  I guess that would refer to something like popcorn which usually comes in a bag of somesort that doesn't have any other compartments.

Key Rules for Outside Food at Target Field:
  • Containers: Food must be in soft-sided bags, such as plastic bags or soft coolers.
  • Size Limit: Bags cannot exceed 16” x 16” x 8”.
  • Water/Drinks: Sealed, bottled water (up to 32 oz) is allowed. Empty plastic water bottles are also allowed.
  • Restrictions: Outside food is not allowed in any of the restaurant, bar, or suite areas.
  • Exceptions: Hard-sided coolers, glass bottles, and alcohol are not allowed.

JUST USE A CLEAR BAG - WILL ELIMINATE SO MANY OBSTACLES

Probably a good idea to use clear bags for a purse or for anything that you are bringing with your into the stadium.  I know they always say - just use your pockets.  Well, as a female, a lot of summer type clothing does not have pockets.  So a clear bag it is!

GO TWINS and have a great MLB season!
