Since 2012, the St. Cloud Rox have brought a ton of memorable former Twins (and others) to town to meet fans at their home opener. This year's guest is a World Series champion and a fan-favorite member of the 1991 Twins.

ST. CLOUD ROX HOME OPENER 2026

Brian Harper will be on hand for the Rox season opener on May 29th at Joe Faber Field when the Rox take on the Bismarck Larks. Harper caught for the Twins from 1988 to 1993 after stints with the California Angels, Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals, Detroit Tigers and Oakland Athletics.

BRIAN HARPER'S TWINS CAREER

Harper had a great run with the Twins, posting a 110 OPS+ and hitting .306 in just over 2,500 at-bats. His best season came in 1989 when he hit .325 with 2.8 wins above replacement.

Incredibly, Harper struck out just 188 times in 3,386 plate appearances. For comparison, Washington Nationals outfielder James Wood led MLB with 221 strikeouts in the 2025 season alone!

It was Harper behind the plate for all 10 innings of the 1991 World Series' epic game seven when the Twins beat Atlanta 1-0 to take its second title.

Harper will be on hand throughout the evening on opening night and will be available to meet with fans, sign autographs and take photos. In addition, he will throw out the game's ceremonial first pitch.

Past guests at the Rox home opener have included Doug Mientkiewicz, Christian Guzman and Jacque Jones.

ST CLOUD ROX PROMOTIONS
