HORRIFYING DETAILS FOLLOWING LAST WEEKS AMBER ALERT

I can't imagine the horror that this family and their neighbor experienced last Friday.

The Brainerd man who is accused in a kidnapping case that triggered an Amber Alert last Friday is facing multiple charges for what painted a terrifying experience for a pregnant woman and her kids, and a neighbor being murdered.

Nikkole Dobson and her four children were rescued after 35-year-old Chad Annerud of Brainerd, was taken into custody near Little Falls, according to court documents.

COMPLAINT

The criminal complaint states that Aanerud started arguing with Dobson on Thursday evening on the porch of the home where she and her children lived. According to the report, Aanerud threatened Dobson with a handgun saying that if she didn't have sex with him, he would kill her and the children. At some point, Dobson woke up her kids and told them to run to the neighbor's house for help.

Dobson watched Aanerud dumping buckets of fuel on the home and around the property and taking firearms from the home.

When the children went to the neighbors for help, Maske, the neighbor was headed over to help Dobson and ran into him in the driveway where Aanerud shot and killed him.
