If I had a nickel for every Halloween I went trick or treating as a kid in Minnesota wearing my snowmobile suit under my costume. It looks like Halloween 2019 might require that kind of layering once again.

With the big day still a week away a lot can change in the forecast, but early indications suggest Halloween could be very cold across central Minnesota.

From the Halloween blizzard of 1999, to a balmy 70° in 2000, trick or treating weather in St. Cloud has been all over the place.

From the National Weather Service regarding Halloween 2019:

Right now, Halloween looks to be very cold and dry.

There will be some disappointed pirates and ballerina's next Thursday when mom tells them they need to wear their winter coat under their costume, but at least it looks like things should be dry.

Stay tuned.
