Bob Dylan Gets Covered for a Good Cause
It's human-rights organization Amnesty International's 50th anniversary and to celebrate 80 artists, including Adele, Sting, Elvis Costello, My Chemical Romance, Ke$ha and Miley Cyrus, are covering tunes from the Bob Dylan catalog.
The four-CD collection, "Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International," is due on Jan. 24, with the proceeds going to Amnesty International.
I'm really eager to hear 92-year-old folk icon, Pete Seeger's version of "Forever Young" accompanied by a children's chorus.
A Minnesota native, Bob Dylan will also include his original 1964 rendition of "Chimes of Freedom." All of the other songs will be new recordings.
