Kids Can Interact With Dinosaurs At Benton County Fair
SAUK RAPIDS (WJON News) -- Your family can experience a prehistoric adventure at the Benton County Fair.
Jurassic Kingdom, an interactive dinosaur show, is at the fair for the first time.
Kala Colonia and her husband own the show and have been touring the country for 10 years. She describes it as education meets entertainment.
Kids get to see dinosaurs one-on-one, they get to play and interact, they get to see different fossils throughout the show, we have big dinosaurs, baby dinosaurs, we always close the show with our t-rex Sparky, and they get to meet Blue from Jurassic World.
ShowTimes:
Wednesday: 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Thursday: 1:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m.
Friday: 1:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m.
Saturday: 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m.
Sunday: 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m.
She says, if you miss a show, there are still photo opportunities available.
There is a life-size dinosaur skeleton and that is a photo opportunity. Of course, the backdrop of the show is always there.
Jurassic Kingdom tours the country from about mid-January through mid-November.

Colonia says while this is the first time they've been to this fair, they have been to several other county fairs all across Minnesota.
