Following Friday's crazy storms that included at least six tornadoes across our state, a week of spectacular weather lies just ahead for Central Minnesota.

We'll start the week today with high temperatures more typical for September, but then again, September is just two weeks away. (Yikes!) Lower dew points in the 50s will make things feel even more comfortable.

The first half of the week looks like it will be sunny and dry, but slight chances (20%) of showers and thunderstorms creep into the forecast Tuesday night and Thursday night.

Even better news: Next weekend looks to be glorious, with sunshine and highs in the mid 70s both days.

The average high for August 17th in St. Cloud is 77°.

From the National Weather Service this morning: Today will remain mostly sunny to partly cloudy with beautiful weather to begin the week.
