Barnes & Noble Opening 60 New Stores – One is in Minnesota
I love Barnes and Noble. It's fun to just peruse all the books in the store. But it's not just books. There are toys, activity areas, listening areas, Starbucks coffee shop and several knick knacks that you can use for fun gift giving. So, yes. I love looking at all sorts of fun things that I may or may not actually buy.
PEOPLE STARTING TO READ ACTUAL BOOKS AGAIN (not digital)
Barnes and Noble has been noticing a trend that has been bringing book stores back into "fashion" if you will.
There is something to be said for reading an actual book as opposed to reading on your phone, ipad or kindle. I like to actually turn pages myself and have the actual book. I do understand that it's a lot more convenient for travel if you don't have to hoof an actual book in your carry-on. Plus, you always have your phone or an iPad or tablet with you. But if given a choice, I will pick actual book every time.
WHERE ARE THEY OPENING NEW STORES
The new stores are going to be opening all over the country, focusing on a few states in particular. According to a list by USA TODAY, the bookseller plans to open stores in Ohio, Texas, Florida, Illinois, Colorado, Washington state, California, Virginia, Georgia and D.C.
There will also be a new Barnes & Noble opening in Minnetonka, Minnesota. The location there will be in the West Ridge Market. As far as the actual date of opening, that will be announced at a later date.
