Back in the Saddle: Aerosmith Announces Rescheduled MN Show Date
They're BACK...before they're gone forever. For real this time?
After postponing their farewell tour last year due to cool grandma Steven Tyler's ailing health, Aerosmith has announced the new dates for their Peace Out final tour before taking a Permanent Vacation from touring.
Aerosmith's "Peace Out" Farewell Tour at the Xcel Energy Center on January 22nd, 2025
The makeup show is Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025. There's no venue presale for the show, with tickets going on sale Friday, April 12th (2024) at 10am.
Fresh off the release of their latest album Happiness Bastards, The Black Crowes will be the support act for the tour.
Aerosmith will be in their 54th year as a band when they hit the road for Peace Out: The Farewell Tour, which kicks off September 20th in Pittsburgh. Original drummer Joey Kramer will not be joining the band for the tour, with drummer/percussionist John Douglas manning the (drum) throne in his place.
That One Time I Saw Aerosmith
I saw them on their 2003 Rocksimus Maximus Tour with Kiss, where they made the mistake of going on last.
Don't get me wrong: it was a great show all around (Peter Criss managed to still sing "Beth" despite his monitors not working). But after the shock and awe of Kiss's bombastic set; the more subdued, traditional concert performance by Aerosmith just seemed...lame? Steven Tyler is the only one who really moves on stage, so it was visually-boring compared to the fire-and-strobes of Kiss.
Still, if you haven't seen Aerosmith live, this is your last chance. Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Friday, April 12th, 2024) at 10am.
