Attention Ford Owners: Major Recall For Engine Failure Risk
FORD OWNERS
Owners and drivers of certain Ford Brand vehicles have a major recall happening which could cause engine failure. If you drive a 2021-2022 Ford, please read on.
FORD RECALL
Ford Motor Company has recalled over 90,000 vehicles that were sold all over the United States. The recall is for 2021-2022 models of the following vehicles:
- Ford Bronco
- F-150
- Edge
- Explorer
- Lincoln Nautilus
- Aviator
ECOBOOST ENGINE FAILURE
The specific problem concerns the 2.7 liter or 3.0 liter Nano EcoBoost Engine. The Ford EcoBoost engine may contain an intake valve that could break. If the valve fails, the driver may experience engine failure and an immediate loss of power.
VEHICLE SYMPTOMS
The check engine light should warn drivers about the Ecoboost Engine failure; and according to the recall notice, consumers may notice that their vehicle is running hard.
At this point, Ford has not received any reports of injured people because of the issue.
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
If you are the owner of one of the affected vehicles included in the recall, you should take your vehicle to a Ford Dealership immediately. Ford will perform an engine cycle test and replace the engine if necessary. All labor and replacement parts will be FREE.
If you are an owner of one of these vehicles and have already had to pay to replace the engine or repair damages caused by intake valve failure, you may be eligible for reimbursement.
