Everyone loves cat videos online, but that's just because they haven't yet discovered otter videos. If you want heart warming, time consuming, silly animal content, just search "otter videos". I have spent hours in that vortex.

Princeton Intermediate School has a special use permit to capture photographs and video footage of wildlife at Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge. It is a part of the nature education partner school program.

This past week on the cameras they caught footage of some silly otters in the refuge having fun in the fall sunshine. You can see a group of five adult otters running around and goofing off with each other as otters do. There is also some footage of a couple otters in the late night hours coming out of the water from a late night dip in the stream.

The entire video also features:

  • Beavers
  • Deer
  • Raccoons
  • Flying Squirrels
  • Wood ducks and birds
  • Squirrels
  • Possum
  • Rabbit

This is my new favorite YouTube channel. How cool is it that Princeton has this as part of part of their class curriculum?! I would've loved a class like this in high school. The otter cuteness starts at the :31 second mark.
