Why Abbey Is Maintaining Her Eyelash Extensions Even After ‘Wedding Year’ Is Done

2022 has been what I have been referring to as “Wedding Year”. I got married back in April, my best friend Nick got married in June, and my other best friend Lindsey got married in October. Naturally, we were all in each other’s weddings in some capacity, and with that comes professional pictures and wanting to look our best.

I had eyelash extensions done at Concrete Image Salon in Waite Park for my wedding, and the second I saw them I knew that I wanted them for every other wedding I was in the rest of the year. (And let’s be honest, for every other big event for the rest of my life.)

After my first initial set of lashes, I kept going in for fills throughout the spring and early summer until I was in the second wedding of the year (Nick’s), and then I kept getting them filled after that just because I loved them so much. The team at Concrete Image does such a good job.

I kept filling them until I soaked in the lake for WAY TOO LONG at a bachelorette party. As I said, it’s the wedding year and it’s been one party after the next.

After that party, I looked in the mirror and immediately knew it was time to make an appointment for a new set at Concrete Image.

I have gotten so used to the ease of eyelash extensions that they just feel like second nature now. I can wake up in the morning, look like I spent a lot of time on my makeup, and be out the door, with absolutely minimal effort. Just a quick swipe of an eyelash brush and they are good to go!

I also noticed that when I had my eyelash extensions on all spring and summer I was wearing far less other makeup on a regular basis, which made my skin stop breaking out so much. Talk about a great side-effect! Plus I’m not spending extra time during my nightly routine trying to scrub sticky, clumpy mascara off my eyelids, and ripping my real lashes out in the process.

So for wedding number three of 2022 (Lindsey’s), I made my appointment at Concrete Image, and Crystal got my lashes looking like they were straight off a red carpet. Wedding photo ready in the blink of an eye(lash)!

Now the plan is just to keep filling them through the holidays so I am ready for all the parties and events that come with it. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and hosting different events.
