The American Legion Post 104 located in Litchfield, Minnesota is going locally viral because of a social media post.

On Thursday, August 26 the legion posted a photo of what appears to be soldiers kneeling next to an American flag.

The caption of the photo reads, "Please pray for the families of all the soldiers who gave their lives today serving our country. Thank you for your service we owe you a debt that can never be repaid."

Since being posted yesterday, the photo has been shared nearly 10 thousand times, gaining hundreds of reactions and comments.

Lauren Segilia wrote, "Lives lost that NEVER should have been. Prayers"

Christina Yearian commented, "God Bless Our Troops. Praying for all the families and friends who have lost loved ones. Thank You all for your service to Our Country."

Patricia Capansky said, "May God bless all of our military in every branch and keep them safe. I pray for all who paid the ultimate price while serving our country. Prayers for all of our service men and women. May God bless each and everyone and keep all of you safe."

Virginia Espinoza wrote, "GOD BLESS AND THANK YOU FOR OUR FREEDOM. MAY GOD PROTECT ALL OUR SOLDIERS."

Pat Reed commented, "what a horrible thing for our troops and all the people there. God [save] our people and bring them home safely."

According to multiple news outlets the death toll in Afghanistan is more than 100 people--at least 95 Afghans and 13 U.S. soldiers.
