Tanya Tucker - "Can I See You Tonight" -- 1981

 

 

This song is written by Deborah Allen and Rafe Vanhoy and recorded by Tanya Tucker.  It was released in December 1980 from the album, "Dream Lovers."  The song rose to number four on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart.

Conway Twitty - "That's My Job" -- 1987

 

 

Of all of his hits, this song of Conway Twitty's most requested on the 98.1 Country Classic Show.  Gary Barn wrote the song, it was released in 1987 from the album "Borderline."  It peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart.

Lynn Anderson - "How Can I Unlove You" -- 1971

 

 

Joe South wrote, "How Can I Unlove You," and it was released in August of 1971.  The song peaked at number one on the Billboard Country Chart where it spent three weeks at the top.

IN THE NEWS:  On April 9th, 1971 Charles Manson is sentenced to death, but he's never executed. In 1972, the sentences for all California death row inmates is commuted to life imprisonment.

Vern Gosdin - "Set 'Em Up Joe" -- 1988

 

 

This song was written and recorded by Vern Gosdin.  It was released in April of 1988 from the album, "Chiseled in Stone."  "Set 'Em Up Joe" was a tribute song to Earnest Tubb, and it was Gosdin's second number one hit on the country chart.

They got a vintage Victrola 1951 full of my favorite records that I grew up on.

 


 

Alan Jackson - "Tall, Tall Trees" -- 1995

 

 

"Tall, Tall Trees" is a song co-written by George Jones and Roger Miller. Both singers recorded their own version of the song -- Jones in 1958 and Miller in 1970.  But it wasn't until October 1995 when Alan Jackson took the song to number one on the Billboard Country Chart.
