22 Adorable Weiners Competing For Glory At The 3rd Annual Doxie Dash

Have you ever watched a dog glide across an icy hockey rink? I can tell you, it's an adorable sight.

And if you're a lover of dogs, and maybe more specifically, a lover of wiener dogs and hockey, this is one event you won't want to miss.

THE 3RD ANNUAL DOXIE DASH IS COMING

The 3rd Annual Doxie Dash is turning out to be quite an exciting event, and it is coming up soon! It will take place at the MAC on Friday, January 16th, 2026, at Ritsche Arena, and we want you to join in on all the fun for a great cause.

SkateFreeCharlie is partnering with The St. Cloud Norsemen for the 3rd annual Doxie Dash at The MAC (Municipal Athletic Complex) in Ritsche Arena, beginning at 6 pm.

DOGS...DOGS...AND MORE DOGS

This year, there are 22 dogs competing for the Stanley Bowl honor, so there will be two preliminary races between the first and second periods, and the top 5 from each race will compete in the Championship race happening between the second and third periods.

PRIZES...PRIZES...AND MORE PRIZES

Over $800 in prizes will go to three lucky fans during the Championship race. Fans will have a chance to increase their odds of winning by purchasing raffle tickets and placing their bets for the dogs they think are going to race their way to glory and be the first to slide across the icy finish line.

Collectively, over $1,000 in prizes will be handed out to fans throughout the evening.

Want a free T-shirt? There will be Doxy Dash T-shirts for the first 100 fans who bring in a pet supply for Ruff Start Rescue.

HONORING CHARLIE BOIKE - LOVER OF ANIMALS

This race is in honor of Charlie Boike, who passed away on December 10th of 2022, in a single-car accident on the way home from his high school hockey game.

Charlie was a huge animal lover, and he and his family were a foster family for Ruff Start Rescue, so it only makes sense that funds raised from this year's race will be going to the Ruff Start Rescue organization.

To honor Charlie, the special Charlie Boike Jerseys that the Norsemen players will be wearing during this special evening are going to be auctioned off to help support Ruff Start Rescue as well.

HOW TO GET IN FREE

All hockey players from youth through high school (and their coaches) who want to attend this event for free can get in by wearing their team jersey or other team apparel. Coaches! Bring your hockey players...wear your jersey...and you can attend the game for free too!
