2 Of Minnesota’s Favorite Sons Will Hold Charity Event
If you live in Minnesota, you start looking for certain things this time of year. Warmer weather, fire pits being used, boats being prepared for the upcoming trips to the lake, and folks walking around Lake George in St. Cloud.

There’s something else you should also be looking for, the announcement of the annual Thielen Foundation Celebrity Softball Game.
The Thielen Foundation of course was started by native son and former Minnesota Viking Adam Thielen and his wife Caitlin. This organization is about giving back and serving the youth in Minnesota and now North and South Carolina since Adam is a current member of the Carolina Panthers.
Each year, the Thielen Foundation hosts a charity softball game and once again this year Vikings running back CJ Ham will be on site to help host this event.
The game will feature Ham’s teammates playing in an offense versus defense battle of softball. There will be other things happening in addition to the game as usual.
This family friendly event will also feature a home run derby and a silent auction. The proceeds go to support the school children of Minnesota that the Thielen Foundation makes its primary focus each year.
CJ Ham’s Family Scholarship will also receive funds as well. The Ham scholarship benefits diverse students in the Duluth area as well as Superior Wisconsin.
Both of these organizations target helping kids overcome obstacles that sometimes are out of their control but could impact their future moving forward.
The celebrity softball game is on Thursday May 29th at CHS Field, 360 Broadway Street in St. Paul. The gates will open at 4:30, the home run derby will begin around 6 and the softball game will see its first pitch around 7.
Tickets range in price and can be purchased on this link.
So, if you’re a Vikings fan, this is a great way to see some of your favorite players in a different light but also support two organizations started by Minnesota sons that keep giving back.
