2 Eagles Found Nesting in St. Cloud [LOOK]

One of my favorite things about spring is watching the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Eagle Cam. You can get a close up view of how eagles live in the nest without actually having to get close and personal.

If you don't do anything else today, check out their eagle cam...it's seriously awesome.

Eagles are so fascinating. When I was a kid I thought it was so cool to see an eagle out in the wild. It was always a rare and beautiful experience.

We don't see eagles in town very often, so we take notice when it happens. Recently, a pair of eagles decided to make St. Cloud their home for now, building a nest for their tiny eaglets.

According to the St. Cloud State University Facebook page the eagles are nesting near the Minnesota Highway Safety and Research Center track. That's probably a great area, because there's a lot of tall trees and has pretty low foot traffic.

The university also added three photos to their page that captured the birds. One photo shows one eagle in the nest, another photo features an eagle flying around the trees. And, third photograph is a beautiful view of the two eagles sitting in the same tree together.

We're not sure if there are any eggs in the eagle's nest yet. If not, we're pretty sure it won't be long. Typical egg laying in Minnesota starts as early as mid-February.
