The Timberwolves won their 2nd straight game 106-96 at home against San Antonio Monday night. Kevin Love led the Wolves with 24 points and 15 rebounds and both Michael Beasley and Luke Ridnour added 19 points apiece.
The Timberwolves lost 98-95 at Milwaukee Tuesday night to fall to 0-2 on the season. Minnesota trailed by more than 20 points but Kevin Love’s missed 3-point shot at the buzzer would have forced overtime.
The Timberwolves waived shooting guard Bonzi Wells Friday. Wells is a 6’5 35-year old shooting guard who hadn’t played in the NBA since 2008.
The Timberwolves signed their first and 2nd round picks yesterday to multi-year contracts. Derrick Williams was the 2nd overall pick in the first round in June.
