The Timberwolves have agreed to sign free agent point guard J.J. Barea to a 4-year contract with reportedly $19 Million.  Barea is a 6’0 175 pound Puerto Rico native who is a 5-year veteran in the league.  The 27-year old averaged 9.6 points and 3.9 assists a game last season while playing for the World Champion Dallas Mavericks.

The Wolves also have rookie Ricky Rubio and Luke Ridnour on the roster that play the point guard position.  Minnesota plays its first preseason game Saturday against Milwaukee.
