The Minnesota Gophers (4-1, 1-0) reclaimed the Little Brown Jug with a 30-14 win against the Michigan Wolverines (2-3, 0-1) today in Ann Arbor. Saint Johns (3-1, 1-1) upset MIAC foe #10 Saint Thomas (2-1, 0-1) 24-14 this afternoon in St. Paul. And the SCSU Huskies (1-3, 1-3) fell to visiting Upper Iowa University (4-0, 4-0) this evening in St. Cloud.

We're into conference play now in the college football season, with St. Cloud State at home today, and Minnesota and St. John's on the road. The Gophers will be looking to open their Big Ten schedule with a win at Michigan. The Huskies & Johnnies are hoping to bounce back after last week's losses.

The Minnesota Gophers (2-1) ended their pre-conference schedule with a 24-7 win over visiting San Jose State (1-2) in a storm delayed game yesterday afternoon in Minneapolis. St. Cloud State (1-2) was shutout on the road by the University of Sioux Falls (3-0) 36-0, and St. John's (2-1) lost at home to Concordia (3-0) in their MIAC opener 23-14.

It's a full schedule for area college football teams today, with St. John's and the University of Minnesota at home, and St. Cloud State on the road in Sioux Falls. The Gophers will be looking to bounce back after last week's loss at TCU. The Huskies & Johnnies are hoping to repeat last week's winning ways.

The St. Cloud State Huskies ended their regular season yesterday with a convincing 64-27 win over MSU-Moorhead in St. Cloud, ending with a final record of 10-1. St. John's fell at home yesterday to #6 Bethel 28-7, wrapping up their regular season with a 7-3 record (5-3 in the MIAC).

The SCSU Huskies (9-1) close out their regular season football schedule with a home game against Minnesota State-Moorhead (4-6) today at 1:00 in Husky Stadium. St. John's (7-2) closes it's regular season out today at home against Bethel (9-0) at 1:00. The Minnesota Gophers are off today.

The #21 SCSU Huskies (8-1) clobbered Bemidji State (2-7) 45-6 this afternoon in Bemidji. During the game, SCSU quarterback Phillip Klaphake became the all-time leading Husky passer. The Minnesota Gophers also collected a road win today, while Saint John's lost at Gustavus.

The SCSU Huskies (7-1) are on the road this afternoon to face NSIC North Division foe Bemidji State (2-6) at 1pm. Saint John's (6-1) is also on the road today, traveling to St. Peter to take MIAC rival Gustavus (4-3) at 1pm. The Minnesota Gophers (6-2) will go up against Indiana (3-4) on the road in Bloomington at 2:30 this afternoon.

I sure hope the Vikings don't screw up a perfect football weekend. Wait, they don't play until Monday night. I am guaranteed to go to work Monday with a football smile on my face. SCSU beat the U of Mary. St. John's remains unbeaten vs. Carlton. And the Gophers topped Northwestern for the first time in four years.

The 25th ranked St. Cloud State Huskies (5-1) are on the road today to face the University of Mary (4-2) in Bismarck at 2:30. St. Johns (5-1) will be in Northfield to battle Carleton College (3-2) at 1:00. And the Gophers (4-2) travel to Northwestern (4-2) to take on the Wildcats at 11:00.

The St. Cloud State Huskies (4-1) take he field at 1pm this afternoon at Husky Stadium against visiting University of Minnesota-Crookston (1-4). St. Johns (4-1) hosts Augsburg (3-1) at 1pm in Collegeville. And the Minnesota Gophers (4-2) kickoff at 19th ranked Northwestern (4-1) at 11am CT.

The St. John's football team traveled to Northfield this afternoon and ran over St. Olaf 31-0, improving the Johnnies record to 2-1 in the MIAC, and 4-1 overall. The #18 Huskies weren't as fortunate, falling to the #11 UMD Bulldogs 34-7 in Duluth. The Gophers dropped to 0-2 in the Big Ten after stumbling at Michigan 42-13.
