It's a big weekend for area college football teams, and they're all on the road today. The premiere matchup takes place at 1:00 this afternoon in Duluth when the 18th ranked St. Cloud State Huskies (4-0) take on the 11th ranked UMD Bulldogs (3-1). St. John's is at St. Olaf, and the Gophers are at Michigan.

On what would have been homecoming (before SCSU changed homecoming to 'Celebrate! St. Cloud' weekend) the 20th ranked Huskies crushed visiting Augustana 31-6 last night, to move to 2-0 in the conference and 4-0 overall. The Johnnies and Gophers weren't as fortunate.

The 20th ranked St. Cloud State Huskies (3-0) will try to remain unbeaten tonight against visiting Augustana (2-1) at 6pm in Husky Stadium. At 1pm, undefeated St. John's (3-0) will host Concordia-Moorehead (3-0) in a battle of unbeatens at Clemens Field. The Minnesota Gophers (4-0) face Iowa (3-1) in Minneapolis at 2:30pm.

St. John's shocked #2-ranked St. Thomas Saturday with a 21-18 win in St. Paul. The Johnnies improve to 3-0 with the win. St. Thomas missed a field goal as time expired, a fitting ending for a team that surrendered five turnovers in the game...
