Sunday liquor sales in Minnesota took another step towards reality today when the Senate Commerce Committee approved the bill by a 7-4 vote, after being passed by the House on Monday by a lopsided 85-45 vote. It now awaits a vote by the full Senate. The Governor has said he will sign the bill if it reaches his desk.

The date of the full-Senate vote has yet to be determined.

Minnesota is one of only twelve states that ban Sunday sales of alcohol.
