Today Governor Mark Dayton made it official when he signed the bill to allow liquor sales in Minnesota on Sundays for the first time in state history. Beginning Sunday, July 2nd liquor stores can be open from 11 am to 6pm if they want to. Next on my list: Fireworks. :)

The bill still allows individual cities in Minnesota to keep liquor stores closed on Sundays if they choose.

Some now wonder if other Minnesota liquor laws will tumble, such as -- will beer (other than 3.2%) be approved for convenience store sales, or will beer & wine be approved for grocery stores as is the case in many other states?

I'm not kidding about fireworks. Come on Minnesota, let's get that taken care of next.
