The disappearance of Jacob Wetterling in St. Joseph, Minnesota is near and dear to our hearts here in Central Minnesota. A thoroughly produced podcast will dig deeper into the case.

On October 22nd, 1989, Jacob Wetterling was riding home with his younger brother and friend, after visiting a convenience store in town to rent a movie. Jacob was abducted and his brother and friend were told to run away and not look back or they'd be shot. Jacob's body and abductor has never been found to date.

According to their YouTube Channel, APM Reports says "APM Reports and reporter Madeleine Baran reveal how law enforcement has mishandled one of the most notorious child abductions in the country and how those failures fueled national anxiety about stranger danger, changed how adults parent their kids and led to the nation's sex-offender registry."

This should be an interesting view of Wetterling's disappearance throughout this 8-part podcast, led by Peabody Award winning Madeleine Baran of APM. The first of the eight episodes will air September 13th and a new podcast will be released weekly.
