I Said I Wouldn’t Like Trapshooting But I’ve Been Proven Wrong
My sister had her graduation party this past Sunday at the Hasty-Silver Creek Sportsmen's Club and therefore, I had to try some trapshooting.
I have absolutely nothing against guns but I don't personally do much with them. My dad, my brothers and my sister all hunt and shoot trap or sporting clays but I never really jumped on that train. It's just not my thing, or at least that's what I thought.
Toward the end of her party Sunday afternoon my dad informed me that I needed to at least try shooting. I resisted because I was afraid I'd look dumb but he talked me in to it. One shot, I said. Yeah right -- I missed my first one but I was close so okay I will do one more. Two turned into almost a whole round. My score wasn't great but it was decent for a first timer -- 5 out of 24. I think I surprised my dad big time when I hit the one in the picture and I turned to him and said I smoked that bad boy!
I didn't think I would like it but I definitely had fun. As long as the weather is good I'm going tonight to shoot and maybe I will bring some video to share. You can critique me.
What's something you were sure you wouldn't like but once you tried it, you found out you really enjoyed it?
