Happy Birthday Dad!

MY DAD

I often reflect on how different my life would be if I didn't have a Dad like mine. I was so lucky to have two parents that were there for me...above and beyond. They always encouraged us to do what we loved...they encouraged us to step out of the box...They never had a fight in front us...Holidays were all about being together, with great family, thoughtful gifts, and delicious holiday foods.

My kids have learned so much from my Dad. Since moving to Minnesota they've had the chance to learn how to shingle, mow, hang pictures. Great advice from a guy that can do just about anything! Dad rarely rests...he's up in the morning, helping Mom around the house, fixing things up on the farm, and one of the biggest Minnesota sports fans there are.

Seriously...I ask my Dad to do tons of things around my house, just so I can spend more time with him. I'm sure he's got me figured out by now..but really! He should have a cape.  If my kids grow up to be just like my Dad, I will be so proud.  Happy Birthday Dad!
