Grand Marais Named ‘America’s Coolest Small Town’

Let's be honest, Grand Marais is pretty cool! 

Budget Travel put together a list of 15 small towns across the United States and asked readers to vote for their favorite.  Those towns included: Allegan, MI, Berkeley Springs, WV, Blanco, TX, Chincoteague, VA and Crested Butte, CO.  Also making the list was Delhi, NY, Fort Meyers Beach, FL, Hillsborough, NC, Huron, OH, Ka'anapali, HI, Old Orchard Beach , ME, Pismo Beach, CA, Snohomish, WA, Washington, NC and Grand Marais, MN.

In picking the top 15 towns the website spent the most time looking at the variety of things to do in each one.  Grand Marais took the top spot and if you've ever been there, you realize there's so much to see and do.

According to the article Grand Marais has a little of something for everyone whether you want to go on a canoeing trip or a weekend getaway.  They've also got a variety of restaurants to choose from including Sven and Ole's Pizza, which is a favorite of mine.
