What Was Your Favorite Thing About Going Back to School?

It's that time of year again where all the kids will be heading back to school. While it stinks that summer is over, I remember being excited to go back to school.

While the prospect of being back in a classroom didn't appeal to me, I was excited for some of the things about being back in school. Of course I loved all the shopping that led up to the first day of school. The new shoes, clothes, backpacks and school supplies. I mean seriously, who doesn't remember picking out all those cool Lisa Frank folders?

It was also exciting to be back with friends day after day and get back in to a good social routine. It took a while to get excited about the whole learning and actually being back in school thing. I think it about the time we'd take our first field trip.
