Twins Win Wednesday on Odorizzi’s Near No-Hitter
The Minnesota Twins (67-78) took two of three games from the Yankees this week, topping New York 3-1 Wednesday night at Target Field.
Minnesota starter Jake Odorizzi pitched seven no-hit innings before finally surrendering a double, just five outs away from the no-hitter.
The Twins scored a run in the sixth and two more in the seventh to give them a 3-0 lead, before the Yankees would put their run up in the eighth inning..
Odorizzi received a standing ovation from the Target Field fans as he walked off the field being replaced on the mound by Taylor Rogers.
