Today Is The Worst Travel Day Of The Year: Be Careful

Triple A says that automobile travel could take twice as long if you are on the road today. Today and tomorrow are expected to be the busiest travel days of the year.

According to ABC News Go, 104 million people are expected to be traveling through January 1st; the highest number on record to date.

The good news is, Minneapolis/St. Paul haven't even made the top 10 for the worst driving congestion this year; so hopefully you aren't coming from the busiest places, which include:

• Atlanta
• Boston
• Chicago

2.9 Million people are flying as well, which tops the 2.4 million of the past.

The best advice? Know that your travel time may be longer than you expected. Try to remain calm if you're driving, and be a safe driver. We'd rather see you safe and unharmed rather than worrying about something out of your control.
