Timberwolves Announce 2025-26 Schedule With A Creative Twist

The Minnesota Timberwolves released their 2025-26 game schedule on Thursday night, and they absolutely 'crushed' it. Literally. The team did a viral crushing video with objects being crushed representing the opposing team and what dates they games were.

The video starts off with a hydraulic crushing device being lowered from the top of the screen, with various NBA logos on it. The Wolves' PR team had some fun with some of the items that they inevitably crushed.

Roses, Apples, & Magic 8 Balls

Depending on the team that was being announced on the video an item relating to the opposing team was under the crusher. For instance, when they announced the New York Knicks games they crushed a basket of apples (The Big Apple), and when they announced the Portland Trailblazers games they crushed a vase of roses (Portland is known as the Rose City), and for the Orlando Magic, they crushed a Magic 8 Ball.

There were also that casual 'Association' fans may have misunderstood like Denver's game being announced while they crushed a deck of cards (Nikola Jokić's nickname is The Joker), or when they crushed a hot dogs for Chicago...I still don't really get that one.

New Owners For 2025-26 & 'New' Jerseys?

The Timberwolves are also debuting new owners this year, after Glen Taylor sold the team to Alex Rodriguez and Marc Lore and their ownership group, a deal that was finalized in June.

Plenty of Timberwolves fans are optimistic about the new ownership group, and why shouldn't they be? It appears they want to win as much as the players do.

On top of the new owners this year, it's been rumored that the KG-era black Timberwolves jersey's will also be making a comeback, a rumor that still hasn't been substantiated with a visual, but if it's true that's just another reason for me to tune in this season.
