A morning disturbance at a local eatery leads to a wild police chase.

Stearns County Commissioners are looking at 3 options for the future of the Stearns County Jail. The two downtown options include building a 2-story building which would be an extension of where the current jail, is expanding to the west.

Stearns County is in need of more jail space. Stearns County Sheriff Steve Soyka joined me on WJON. He says they have 130 inmates currently in the Stearns County Jail with another 20 housed in another neighboring county jail because they are beyond capacity here.

Authorities have arrested the third and final suspect in a July 6th shooting in south St. Cloud.

The Stearns County Jail is offering a new program to incarcerated parents and their children.

Stearns County Officials are meeting with the National Institute of Corrections this afternoon.

A Sartell woman was arrested on suspicion of driving while drunk, on her way to pick up her sister arrested earlier for the same offense. The incident happened just before 2:00 a.m. yesterday (Sunday) along River Avenue South.

St. Cloud Police have made an arrest in one of the shooting that happened Tuesday night.

Stearns County is moving ahead with plans to remodel their jail and plan for a future facility. The county board has appointed a committee to oversee a short-term remodeling of the Stearns County Jail.
