St. Cloud Schools

During the summer months St. Cloud Schools often have planned maintenance and improvement projects. St. Cloud School Superintendent Willie Jett joined me on WJON today. He says they have planned HVAC work scheduled for Apollo High School this upcoming year and an improved entrance at North Junior High.

A fight broke out at Apollo High School the night of February 15th when Tech played a boys basketball game at rival, Apollo.

The cold weather we are experiencing this week could help to a school closure, delay or a flexible learning day for St. Cloud area schools. St. Cloud School Superintendent Willie Jett joined me on WJON today. He says he is having conversations today with other St. Cloud area Superintendents about how they may handle the cold weather that is expected Tuesday and Wednesday.

St. Cloud School District 742 is still experiencing a bus driver and substitute teacher shortage. That according to Superintendent Willie Jett. He says the Human Resources office is very busy looking for many open positions that aren't exclusive to the before mentioned positions.

xSt. Cloud School District 742 is hosting a job fair Tuesday, September 28th from 4-6 p.m.

St. Cloud School District 742 is committed to in-person learning this upcoming school year.

Nutritional Services employees within the St. Cloud area school district have reached a new contract agreement.

St. Cloud Schools is planning to continue with full in-person learning this fall.

A local business is helping cover the lunch debt of St. Cloud students.

Having to go through the day hungry is something no one should have to do. Sara Greeberg-Hassan, a parent at Madison Elementary School in St. Cloud became motivated to solve the problem while eating lunch with her children at the school, by starting a fundraising campaign.

Schools in the St. Cloud Area District have been offering additional counseling for students after the Crossroads Mall stabbing attack that happened on Saturday.
