A portion of Highway 23 in Paynesville will be dedicated in honor of a fallen soldier. The Minnesota senate unanimously passed the bill Monday to rename the Paynesville stretch of highway as the "Medal of Honor recipient Kenneth L. Olson Highway."
There have been unconfirmed reports that remains were recently found that are those of Jacob Wetterling. KARE 11-TV is reporting that Patty Wetterling has confirmed that the remains are Jacob. KSTP-TV reports that over the last few days searchers have been in Stearns County looking for the remains of Jacob Wetterling.

A community meeting filled the Paynesville High School Auditorium this (Sunday) evening with a sense of healing, support and renewed hope in the Jacob Wetterling case. Patty and Jerry Wetterling formed the community event called "a night of sharing and healing" to connect with residents who's lives have been changed since Jacob Wetterling's abduction on October 22nd 1989.
