Downtown St. Cloud has positive momentum. That's the thought of St. Cloud Community Development Director Matt Glaesman. He says there are 27 new businesses open downtown and calls it "great news".

The city of St. Cloud has an agreement with a party to purchase the cleared former District 742 Media Services property. St. Cloud Community Development Director Matt Glaesman joined me on WJON. He indicates that project is advancing and describes it as a "great commercial use" for the property.

A move to add additional multi-family housing is taking place in St. Cloud. St. Cloud Community Development Director Matt Glaesman joined me on WJON. He explains the planned multi-family housing development along Cooper Avenue South across from Coborns is a Torborg property. Glaesman says the development would be two buildings in the first phase of the project.

Spring brings road construction and development on many properties and increased home construction too. Matt Glaesman is the Community Development Director for the City of St. Cloud. He gave me an update on many properties in the city.

The City of St. Cloud has relocated their City Hall to the old Tech High School building. When the city took on the old high school building they also took on the media services building along Division Street/Highway 23. The building continues to be up for sale.

33rd Street South in St. Cloud is expected numerous development opportunities in both housing and commercial expansion in the near future. St. Cloud Community Development Director Matt Glaesman joined me on WJON.
