It's another light at the end of the tunnel, Sartell Community Center announced via Facebook they plan to be open again soon. My two-year-old, Charlie, is going to be so excited when I tell him the news because he's a big fan of KidZone.

Although, they didn't give an official opening date, they did mention they're busy training staff, gathering sanitizing supplies and creating a reopening plan.

The Sartell Community Center features basketball courts, a senior center, walking trails, a large indoor park called KidZone, a library and more.

The library is really neat because it features a no-check out system. So, you essentially walk in, look for a book, find one you like and leave with it. Or you can stay and read the book by the fireplace. It's a great place to study as well because it's quiet and there's free Wifi. You're able to rent out rooms for birthday parties, gatherings and more.

When the community center reopens there will be signage posted throughout the building about COVID-19 and how to minimize the spread of germs. They've been closed since March 16 due to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz's orders.

You're advised to follow the City of Sartell's official Facebook page for updates on the reopening date. Sartell residents get a small discount on daily and annual rates as well as on punch card purchases.

The community center is located at 850 19th Street South, Sartell.
