Even with the last gasped efforts of old man winter to keep hanging on, we’ve seen enough glimpses of warmer weather to know that it will be here sooner rather than later.

Even during the coldest parts of winter, I still battled my allergies. And I know that I’m not alone, others find themselves needing to be armed for the next time that fight comes around.

Most folks turn to over the counter medications to help treat the tug of war against runny noses and watery eyes, and Benadryl is a popular brand that many Americans trust.

The company who makes Benadryl, Arsell, announced last week to the U.S. Product and Safety Commission that they have recalled the liquid elixir 100 ml. The recall isn’t with the make-up of the medication, but it comes from the packaging that the bottle comes in.

The problem is that the packaging does not meet the standards of the Product and Safety Commission sets forth to be child resistant. The worry is that a child could access the bottle and its contents easily which could lead to poisoning.

The Benadryl liquid in question comes in a dark round bottle with a white and pink label with Benadryl written in blue. Again, Arsell stresses that there is not a problem with the medication itself, only the packaging.

The Benadryl in question was sold on amazon.com between July 2023 and October 2024.

If you own this medicine, you are urged to secure it and make sure it's not where it can be reached by your children. You will need to contact Arsell for a refund. You will also be asked to provide your amazon.com order number and then a picture of the bottle being disposed of.

That information will need to be submitted to recall@arsellsupport.com.
