SARTELL - With Christmas just a couple weeks away, many are waiting for gifts and packages to arrive on their doorstep.

Unfortunately, Sartell Police say over the past week or so, some of those packages have been stolen. There have also been several reports of suspicious vehicles driving on the streets looking for a chance to steal.

If it's possible, police are urging you to track your packages and have a trusted friend or neighbor pick them up if you're not home. You should also let someone know when to expect a package if you send one.

"Although it may no longer be a surprise, we would encourage you to let someone know when you are sending them a package so they can be looking for it," The Sartell Police Facebook page says.

If you see a suspicious person or vehicle, you should call the Sartell Police Department at 251-8186.
