Reason #532 why I love Minnesota. When I read this story on Men's Health, I was amazed and in awe. A Minnesota man named Scott Morton lost weight to save his brother's life by donating a kidney.

According to the article, Morton weighed 256 pounds at the age of 57 and was initially rejected from being a donor for his brother. His glucose and blood pressure were both too high.

He was told he needed to lose at least 28 pounds to be an organ donor. So, that's exactly what he did. He started working out at Life Time in Savage, Minnesota, and followed a strict low carb Keto diet. He not only changed his life, but his brother's life too.

After losing 42 pounds, he was given the green light by doctors to donate a kidney to his brother. The surgery happened in January 2019 and everything went well.

This is such a great story that really highlights what we can do if we are focused, dedicated and put our hearts into something.
