If you love visiting animals at the zoo but have never experienced them after hours, this could be your chance. Wild Nights at the Minnesota Zoo might just be the perfect date night, featuring live music, good food, and your favorite animals in a whole new light.

Back for its fourth year, Wild Nights returns with two nights of music, exploration, and after-hours magic starting Friday, July 25, with another evening planned for August 8.

ENJOY SCENIC TRAILS AND LIVE MUSIC AT THE ZOO

From 5 to 8 p.m., adults 18 and older are invited to stroll the scenic trails, see the animals, and take advantage of complimentary carousel rides, camel rides, and educational exhibits. You’ll also find food and bar stations throughout the zoo, along with a stop-worthy Artisan Market at Celebration Plaza, full of handmade goods you can bring home.

FRIDAY, JULY 25 – WILD NIGHTS KICKOFF

Tonight’s entertainment lineup is stacked with talent. You'll be able to catch:

Nici Peper (6–6:45 p.m. and 7:15–8 p.m.) – This soulful singer-songwriter will be the perfect vibe to kick off your night.

Free Fallin (6:30–7:30 p.m., Upper Plaza) – A crowd-favorite Tom Petty tribute band that’ll have you singing along to “Free Fallin,” “American Girl,” and more.

Captain Fantastic (8–8:45 p.m. and 9:15–10 p.m., Upper Plaza) – Get ready for some Elton John hits, glitz, and glam.

Wookiefoot (8–8:45 p.m. and 9:15–10 p.m., Amphitheater) – A wild, high-energy performance you won’t want to miss.

Take your time walking the grounds between sets, grab a drink or a bite to eat, and soak in the unique nighttime zoo experience.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 8 – WILD NIGHTS CONTINUES

Can’t make it this Friday? No worries—the next Wild Night is Friday, August 8.

Alexis Rose (6–6:45 p.m. and 7:15–8 p.m.) – This wandering artist will be bringing her acoustic sound and charm to the event.

DJ Jake Rudh (6:30–7:30 p.m., Upper Plaza) – Named the Twin Cities’ best club DJ for 10 years running, he’ll keep the energy up.

Sweet & Tender Hooligans (8–8:45 p.m. and 9:15–10 p.m., Upper Plaza) – A must-see tribute to Morrissey and The Smiths.

Cloud Cult (8–8:45 p.m. and 9:15–10 p.m., Amphitheater) – Known for their inspiring music and creative performances, they’ll close out the night beautifully.
