Save The Brays Donkey Rescue, located in Milaca, recently experienced some pretty severe damage to their barns, and are need of our help to make sure these beautiful animals have shelter.

No one expects winds to tear apart buildings...so when it happens out of the blue, especially when you are a rescue with funding being difficult to find, it really becomes a need, and I'm hoping that we can come together just a little, and help these animals.

A pen that houses the male donkeys was moved approximately 60 feet from storm winds recently. A door also blew off in the storm and into the pen where the donkeys were being housed. There was other damage to the farm, including damage to a canopy and some panels that will need to be replaced.

The cost of these items is within reach.  They expect the new canopy to cost approximately $300, while the new panels run a little bit under $100 a piece.

According to the Facebook page, a mini tornado apparently came through the area. You can visit the Facebook page to learn more about Brays, see pictures of the damage, and find out what you can do to help.

You know how hard it is for farmers to ask for anything; and for all they do for animals, for us, I'm hoping that some of us can come together and make this improvement for the farmers who are doing their part to take care of these beautiful animals.
