Halloween Events and Attractions in the St. Cloud Area

The October festivities have begun at A and G Produce in St. Joseph. For a $15 admission fee you and a group of friends can participate in the Zombie Paint Shoot. It runs every evening Thursday through Saturday in October. During the daytime you can participate in a corn maze, cow train, corn cannon, pumpkin sling shot, tractor ride and more. General admission for the daytime activities is $9 dollars. Kids ages 11 and under are $6.

Molitors Haunted Acres is located in Sauk Rapids. You can enjoy a haunted hayride on their Wagon of Doom attraction. After the ride they offer five haunted house attractions including The Old Storm Sewer, Trail of Blood and more.  Tickets are $18 on Friday and Saturday nights with discounted prices during the week. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

If you're looking for thrills you may want to check out Harvest of Horror in St. Augusta. You will embark on a haunted corn maze and hayride through the woods. It's open every Friday and Saturday night through October. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person.

The Nelson Farm in Litchfield has been open during the fall months for families to tour the farm and participate in fall activities. You can go on a walk through the corn maze, pick a pumpkin from the patch or tour the old barn. They also launch pumpkins from a trebutchet three times a day during their pumpkin patch festival. The pumpkin festival runs weekends through October 27th.

If you're looking for a non-scary event for the whole family you might want to check out Halloween Historia at the Stearns History Museum. You can participate in a Halloween scavenger hunt in the exhibit gallery, go on a hayride, trick-or-treat and visit the candy witch. The event goes from 12 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26th. Tickets are $4 per person.

The Minnesota School of Business is hosting their 4th annual Trunk or Treat event on Sunday at their St. Cloud location. From 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. kids can come dressed in costumes and trick-or-treat at various stations throughout the school. Kids can also participate in games to win prizes. Refreshments will be offered.

St. Cloud State University’s fall production of Ghost Sonata takes center stage this week. The play is about a student who encounters a group of mysterious people who live together in the early 1900s. The student is tricked by main character Director Hummel to be a part of a strange household. The audience will be part of the set as the characters come to life on stage. The stage is broken up into three parts requiring you to move around during the production. The show runs now through October 27th. Tickets are on-sale now at St. Cloud State.

Rocky Horror Pictures Show opens at the Pioneer Place Theatre in downtown St. Cloud on Tuesday. It's a cult classic musical based on the book by Richard O'Brien. The musical is a comedy tribute show based on b-horror films from the 1940s through the 1970s. The show runs Tuesday through Saturday, November 2nd. Tickets are on-sale at the Pioneer Place Box Office.

Bad Seed is a play based on William March's novel about a girl with evil DNA. People around her encounter fatal accidents with no explanation. The girl's mother finds out some chilling information that may solve the mystery. The show runs now through October 26th. Tickets are on-sale now at the College of St. Benedict's website.

The weather is getting chilly outside, so why not trick-or-treat indoors? Crossroads Center is hosting their annual Trick-or-Treating event on Halloween from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Stores will be passing out candy to children who come dressed in costumes.
