Grand Marais Tops Yahoo’s List of Best Small Towns in America

We have many awesome small towns all across Minnesota and apparently Yahoo! Travel thinks at least one of ours rocks!

Yahoo! Travel recently revealed their list of the best small towns in America based on user voting.  I figured at least one Minnesota town would make the list and I was hoping it would be one here in Central Minnesota.  The good news is Grand Marais made the list and on top of that, they came in at #1! Amazing!

No doubt Grand Marais is awesome! It's been many years since I was up there but I remember it was so much fun.  My dad's parents and all five kids went up there along with spouses and children.  We had a great time in the cabins we rented and we did so many fun things.  I need to go experience that again soon.

According to the article they took the top spot because of the fun restaurants, the number of different activities and the hotel accommodations.  It really is a beautiful little town and if my memory serves me correctly, somewhere up there they have the best donuts ever!
