The idea of a tiny house sounds appealing because of the assumed smaller rent or mortgage price that would go along with it.

Well, that's not necessarily the case for this Minneapolis micro house that's currently listed for a jaw-dropping $399,000. It's located at 2011 Ewing Ave S.

While it's beautifully updated on the inside, it's only about 400 square feet in total finished space. The listing on Zillow says there's one bedroom, one bathroom, a detached garage, window air conditioning, natural gas electric heating and connected to city sewer and water.

It also comes with a range, cooktop, microwave, exhaust fan, fridge, freezer and washer and dryer. It's got everything you need from a house even though it's small.

It was built in 1922 but has been updated and you can tell from the stunning photos. If you're scratching your head like we are trying to figure out why it's so expensive, location may have something to do with it.

The house is two blocks west of Cedar Lake and a hop and a skip from Bde Maka Ska (Calhoun) and downtown Minneapolis. You know what they say, location, location, LOCATION!

The property description on Zillow also points to the fact that because the property's location is so great, this might be a great opportunity for an investor to come in and scoop this up for an Airbnb. They make a great point.

But, still, this 400 square foot home is nearly $400,000. Would you buy this house if you had the money? It's currently listed with Sherri Beier at Coldwell Banker Realty.
