The 12th ranked Gopher basketball team lost 45-44 Saturday at Wisconsin.  Minnesota was down 2 with 1.8 seconds left when Trevor Mbakwe was fouled after catching the in-bound pass.  He injured his wrist on the play and couldn't shoot the foul shots.  Rodney Williams was chosen to shoot in Mbakwe's place and made the first before missing the 2nd.  Wisconsin got the rebound and held on to the win.

The Gophers were tied with the Badgers at halftime after leading by as many as 8 points in the first half.  Andre Hollins led Minnesota with 20 points and 5 rebounds and Trevor Mbakwe had 8 points and 10 rebounds.  The Gophers are 15-5 and 3-4 in the Big Ten.  Minnesota will host Nebraska Tuesday night at 8pm, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 7:30.
